It’s Easy to Create a Fundraising Page on Colorado Gives!
You set up your own page. You set your own fundraising goal.

In addition to the incredible tax credits, all donations made via the Colorado Gives website between November and through Colorado Gives Day (Dec. 10, 2024) will receive a financial boost through their incentive fund. Any recurring donations are automatically matched up to $100 of your first monthly donation by the Colorado Gives Foundation.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there; your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

  1. Go to this link and type in your email address then click the continue button which will take you to the complete sign up page to create a password and enter your First/Last Name. 

  2. After you sign up, it will take you to the “Create A Fundraiser” page where you will click on “Get Started”

  3. The next page will ask “Where will the funds go?” - Type in “Naropa” (as they are still our fiscal sponsor) and hit continue. 

  4. Next it will say “Time to customize your fundraiser!”. Make sure that the box “Use template provided by organization” and click “Build Your fundraiser”

  5. Here’s the fun part. You get to customize your goal and appeal. Here is suggested language that you can copy and paste:

    1. Suggested Summary: Protecting The Magic of Childhood - Saving Alaya Preschool

    2. Goal: You can set your goal to whatever number you want!

    3. Duration: Through 1/1/2025

    4. Update Story Details: See below for an example; feel free to modify this:

For the past 47 years, Alaya Preschool has nurtured and brought magic to generations of children and their families. These children come back as teenagers and adults gushing that their time at Alaya remains one of the happiest and magical in their lives.

As we near the holiday season remember that the feeling of magic for children can go beyond the holiday season. The innocence and play of childhood can be experienced for generations to come. At Alaya preschool it's magic all of the time. 

What do I mean?

Alaya is a place where children are loved and accepted just the way they are, by teachers who are present, loving, and fun. 

Days are spent running around and playing in the big, beautiful backyards full of flowers amidst the sound of calming fountains. Kids catch a break under the shade of trees planted in honor of past teachers. For so many their first experience of school is so incredibly wonderful that at the end of each day they don’t want to leave. Children are genuinely happy to be at Alaya.We want to retain this magic and happy place and are asking for your help this holiday season in doing so.

Instead of a toy that will become recycled in a few years consider making a donation in a child's name to honor the kid-like magic within them (and you). Want to go a step further? You can even name a part of the school in honor of a loved one and have a quote be placed on the property.

6. Hit “save” once you have added the story.

7. Scroll to the top of the page and hit the “Publish” button. This will submit your page for approval. Once your page is live, just share it with friends and family via email/social media.
